Brisbane Heat Innings Review: As we had predicted Brisbane Heat will get the better of Melbourne Stars owing to their overall batting power plus, they have a settled team compared to Melbourne Stars. We had picked a few important players for both teams, but we had picked Colin Munro as the impact player for the match from the side, and what an amazing innings he played in the opening game of Big Bash 2023-24.
Colin Munro has played some great knocks for New Zealand. So, everyone knows that once Colin Munro has gone beyond 30 or 40 runs, he will score a big score at a breathtaking speed. He had two partnerships one with Usman Khawaja and the other with Marnus Labuschagne. Both were just trying to help Colin get the strike and be more impactful.
Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Stars Match Review
Melbourne Stars Innings Review
Despite having a strong middle order, but the weight of the runs really had impacted the middle order, and they were required to go after the runs as the top order had failed to get going and not only that Joe Burns could not score the runs at the required speed creating a lot of pressure for Glenn Maxwell plus batters coming after him. Apart from Glenn Maxwell, only Hilton Cartwright scored some runs, but it had no impact on the match as it was beyond repair by then. Also, while chasing the big target, the way Stars had started it had put them in the backfoot from 1st over. Since, the top order is not settled, and it is causing an unsettled team for the Stars. Even if we investigate their bowling, that is also not settled plus Stars don’t have any bowler who we can term as a bowler who will run riot or can run through a batting lineup. If the opposition team gets going, it will be very hard for the Star’s bowling lineup to stop them.
The worst part for the stars is that they don’t have an effective bench strength as well. When we look at their bench strength, we don’t see any player who we can think will come and make an impact as far as their bowling is concerned.
