India has declared their team for the T20 series comprising three games against Bangladesh. The series will begin on the 6th of October in Gwalior but fans are very concerned about the whole series because some big names are missing from India’s squad. However it’s all a good decision by the BCCI because this gives chances to talented youth to be in the team. So, let’s have a look at the India Bangladesh 2024 T20I Squad.
Notable Absences and Fresh Faces
India’s T20I squad for the series does not include Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Pant returned aggressively to the Test series against Bangladesh starting from this series after he had a car accident in December 2022. However, he has been given a break for the T20 series. Instead of them, the selectors have provided chances to new players to enhance the team strength.
Probably the most notable inclusion in the squad is Mayank Yadav for the national team, and it is his debut. Everyone was impressed by his great performances in the IPL for the Lucknow SuperGiants and he frequently bowled over 150 kph. His inclusion is to beef up the Indian pace bowling attack. In this series, he will be aiming to add more firepower to India’s pace attack.

Team Composition
Controlling all rounder Hardik Pandya, spin bowling all rounder Washington Sundar, and big hitting all rounder Shivam Dube have been included to balance the side. It brings strength in both batting and bowling aspects of the teams. In the spin bowling category, Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakaravarthy have been selected because of their death bowling skills in the middle overs. In fast bowlers, Mayank Yadav is accompanied by Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.
Suryakumar Yadav Retains Captaincy
Suryakumar Yadav remains the team captain, a role he has been assigned after Rohit Sharma’s decision to quit T20 cricket. His exciting and aggressive approach in batting besides having qualities of an excellent team leader will play a big role in the team which comprises several young players. Rohit and Virat Kohli pulled out from the shortest format of the game after the triumphant T20 World Cup in June.
Schedule For The T20 Series
The series will feature three games starting from October 6 in Gwalior. The second match is planned for October 9 at Delhi, while the last match will take place on October 12 in Hyderabad.
