South Africa vs India 3 T20l preview: As we had predicted in our previous article with the kind of combinations and home conditions South Africa is a tough side to beat and the same happened. Chasing 152 in 15 overs South Africa came hard at the India Bowlers scoring 38 runs off the first 2 overs of powerplay.
Chase was beautifully set by Skipper Markram and Reeza Hendricks.
None of the Indian bowlers had a good outing all giving away runs at a high economy. Arshdeep gave away 31 runs in 2 overs.
Rinku Singh’s not-out 68 and 56 runs by SKY were the only positives for the Indian team.
Leaving out Ravi Bishnoi proved costly for India as the pitch was helping the spinners as we saw Tabraiz Shamsi who did not give away any chance of scoring to the Indian batters.
But, since it was a rain-hit game Indian bowlers can excuse of wet outfield and the pitch getting better with the rain droplets.
Both teams meet again today for the 3rd and Final T20 of the series at the New Wanderers Stadium Johannesburg. Another venue where you can expect another run-fest.
South Africa will need to make 2 forced changes as Marco Yensen and Coetzee is not available for this game and are preparing for the Test Series. This could well mean South Africa will go with 2 debutant fast bowlers. The batting looks balanced and strong at the same time. The hitting abilities of all their batters and even their skills against the spinners are also good. Markram, Klassen, and Miller can take against any kind of attack.
Indian team on the other side will have to look at their bowling options.
Bishnoi should get a game either in place of Arshdeep or Kuldeep. India can even go with a combination of Jadeja, Washington and Bishnoi to make the attack more flexible and Siraj and Mukesh will play the role of 2 quicks. This attack could well play better against the protrea batters. Talking about batters Openers need to deliver as both failed badly getting out for a duck. Rituraj might walk in the playing 11 in place of Jaiwal or Gill
Currently, Odds are slightly in favour of India but again things are going to depend a lot on the toss here in Johannesburg. The team batting second will surely have a fair advantage.
But the fact that South Africa will have to go with 2 debutants who will lead their attack might favor India today and they should feel comfortable facing them.
Our prediction for the day is if India chases today they will remain the favorite for the game and will surely equalize the series. Even if India Bats first they will still have a fair chance in today’s game because of the inexperienced bowling lineup.
