Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Support staff members and player families made unique video greetings wishing the team well in the main tournament. On Friday, October 4, India will begin their campaign against New Zealand in Dubai.
The players and support staff of the Indian women’s cricket team watched with pride as their relatives sent them well wishes from home as they gear up for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup. The families of every player on the team sent heartfelt video messages wishing the lads the best of luck and urging them to bring home the World Cup.
The video greetings were entertaining for Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, and the opener for India appeared to be upset as she watched her brother and parents wish the team luck. Even more, Smriti’s brother made fun of her and gave her sly advice on how to handle pressure during the T20 World Cup.
It was made extra special by Coach Amol Majumdar’s wife and daughter, who recalled the effort put in by the support staff in the run-up to the T20 World Cup.
We are so thrilled to see Dad playing for the team. We are ecstatic for him. Typically, we witness the trio of coaches seated together. They never lose their composure or composure on the pitch. Therefore, Majumdar’s daughter wrote, “I am sending in my special wishes to them for this World Cup.”
I am aware of how hard you have all worked for this World Cup. I’m hoping that eventually all of your effort will be rewarded. The head coach’s wife said, “You have our undying love, prayers, and best wishes.”
FAMILIES HOPE FOR TEAM INDIA STARS
Dayalan Hemalatha became emotional as her mother wished her well in Tamil, but S Sajana and Asha Sobhana were thrilled to see their parents wishing them well in Malayalam.
The mother of Captain Haramanpreet Kaur expressed her confidence that her daughter will do everything in her power to guide the team and bring home the much-coveted trophy for India.
On Friday, October 4, India will begin their campaign against New Zealand in Dubai. India was drawn into Group A, which also includes Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, making it a difficult draw.
India advanced to both the 2020 T20 World Cup final and the semi-final this past year. They lost against Australia both times. A strong performance against Australia during the group round will boost Harmanpreet and her team’s confidence as they try to break the drought.
India starts as one of the favorites to win the title in the United Arab Emirates, and captain Harmanpreet and seniors like Smriti and Jemimah Rodrigues will try to lead from the front.
