When the event happened late on Day 3, Bangladesh was batting in their second innings, with Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto at the crease.
Gill was called on at silly point for Mominul, the new batsmen, in Ravichandran Ashwin’s 22nd over of the innings.
