The ICC has set up an all-female panel of match officials for the Women’s T20 World Cup. The competition will begin on October 3 and go through October 20.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from October 3 to October 20, has announced its panel of match officials. The ninth competition will be overseen by three match referees and ten female umpires. The ICC’s determination to increase the number of women officiating cricket was demonstrated by this action. High-level officials make up the panel; Claire Polosak will officiate the Women’s T20 World Cup for the 7th time. Jacqueline Williams and Kim Cotton, who officiated the Cape Town final earlier this year, will be competing in their fourth World Cup together.
Sue Redfern will make a comeback for her fourth World Cup as the TV umpire for the 2023 championship. Sarah Dambanevana of Zimbabwe, who will be making her debut at the esteemed event, is a new addition to the schedule. GS Lakshmi will be on the match referees’ crew.She began officiating in 2012 and served as the final referee in 2023. Shandre Fritz and Michell Pereira, who are both officiating in their second Women’s T20 World Cup, will accompany her.
A lineup of female match officials
Announcing an all-female roster, Sean Easey, Senior Manager for Umpires and Referees at the ICC, acknowledged the organization’s satisfaction. He mentioned that the selection of these officials was based on their outstanding recent performances in international and bilateral matches.

Ten teams will compete for the title in 23 matches spread across Dubai and Sharjah during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
