The Men’s Selection Committee has selected Sanju Samson to take Kishan’s place in the India D team.
Ishan Kishan, a batsman and wicketkeeper, will not be playing in the Duleep Trophy’s opening round because of a groin injury he suffered during the present All-India Buchi Babu Tournament. The medical team at BCCI keeps a careful eye on him and tries to make sure he heals quickly.
The Men’s Selection Committee has selected Sanju Samson to take Kishan’s place in the India D team. After spraining his right thumb while fielding in the All-India Buchi Babu Tournament, batter Suryakumar Yadav will also miss the opening round of the Duleep Trophy. The BCCI Medical Team is doing an extra assessment next week, which will determine his availability for the second round in the interim.
Due to surgery on his left quadriceps tendon, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will miss the Duleep Trophy first-round match as his recovery nears its end.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, an all-rounder, has been cleared to play and will be eligible for selection in the interim.
