Green will be absent from the India match beginning on November 22 for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Cameron Green, an Australian all-rounder, will have surgery this week to treat a stress fracture in his lumbar spine, Cricket Australia said on Monday, October 14.
He had complained of lower back pain during the recent UK tour, and follow-up scans and a thorough evaluation showed the degree of the fracture.
Cam has a distinct flaw in a location next to the fracture that is thought to be contributing to the injury, even though spine stress fractures are common in pace bowlers.
Cameron would benefit from the operation to stabilize the abnormality and lower the chance of a future recurrence, it was concluded after extensive deliberation.
Prominent fast bowlers have had the procedure done successfully in the past.
It is projected that recovery will take about six months. Considering Cameron’s long-term prospects as an all-around player, the decision to proceed with surgery was made.
Australia reveals team for Pakistan series
The 15-player team for the November ODI series against Pakistan was also confirmed by Cricket Australia. The team will be captained by ace pacer Pat Cummins, with Josh Inglis expected to be the chosen wicketkeeper. Experienced players like Glenn Maxwell, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Steve Smith are also on the team. However, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh have not been taken into consideration while they are on paternity leave.

The balance of the squad was focused on that as well as continuing to focus on individual preparation for the approaching Test Summer, according to Australian Chair of Selectors George Bailey. This is our final ODI series before the Champions Trophy. Considering the difficulties with illness and injuries, the one-day side performed admirably in the UK. In light of the upcoming February in Pakistan, we see this as a chance to build on that accomplishment.
