Pakistan clinches victory over Australia with an 8-wicket win
Pat Cummins and his teammates Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood decided to skip the match, in Perth to give the Australian management a chance to relax at the festive events before facing Pakistan on the field. Unfortunately for Australian fans like us who were eagerly watching and cheering on our team from home or the stands at Perth Stadium…we were disappointed by their loss in that match by eight wickets which ultimately led to a 1–2 series defeat, against Pakistan.
Of particular note, the series was 1-1 with former cricketer Michael Clarke expecting the players to appear in the last ODI, given the circumstances. Even so, Cummins confirmed after the second ODI that they would not be available and the revelation took Clarke by surprise. Following the defeat, he slammed the team management stating that they didn’t care about the outcome. He added that only 11 days were remaining ahead of the first Test against India, and the players should have played the third ODI.
“I’m just a bit confused, so 11 days between now and the first Test in Perth, why can’t the Aussie boys who are part of this Test series play in the one-dayer? If Australia had won the first two games, then you can understand why they rest their big fish, but it was series on the line. I feel like we don’t care about losing that series,” Clarke stated on Big Sports Basket.
If you’re not going to show any care, then we won’t either; you can’t expect the fans to be interested in one-day cricket. We’re bagging one-day cricket; no one’s turning up; nobody is interested,” explained the 43-year-old.
“I’m just a .. little confused, 11 days before the first Test (in Perth), why you can’t play the first Test boys that are part of the Test series. “If the Aussies had won the first two games, then I could understand, maybe they could rest their big fish, but the series was gone. I feel like we just don’t care about losing that series. If you’re not going to care, well then why should we? (The pitch) Is a standard one-day pitch that we generally play on and that the boys do fairly well and score a lot of runs, so what are we doing? “No one’s turning up. We’re bagging one-day cricket, no one’s turning up, it hasn’t gone the interest,” Clarke said on the Big Sports Breakfast. To make the situation more awkward, Australia lost the final match thanks to another horrific batting display.
Shaun Marsh, who was included in the squad as Carey’s replacement, hit 130 to help Western Australia to an innings victory since records began. Sheer is concerned that an unofficial toss between two test Candidates might save two good players from being omitted. Somehow the AUS selectors have dug an even deeper hole on this ODI tour.

Pakistan riddled Australia out for 140 runs even in the third match and Sean Abbott was the top-scorer on 30 runs.
In response, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah bagged three wickets each to rattle the Aussies and win the match with 23 overs to spare. Watch the 3rd Test at a different time, says it is on Friday.
