The women’s T20 World Cup 2024 team from New Zealand was revealed. The competition will take place in the United Arab Emirates starting on October 3. In T20Is, Sophie Devine will take charge of the squad for the last time.
On Tuesday, September 10, New Zealand revealed their fifteen-person team for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. Having participated in the event since its start in 2009, veteran stars Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine are expected to appear in its ninth edition of the T20 spectacle.
After the competition, Devine will also relinquish her position as T20 captain. Rosemary Mair, a pitcher, made her team debut after suffering a back ailment during the home series against England. Leigh Kasperek, an off-spinner, will support Melanie Kerr, Fran Jonas, and Eden Carson in the spin attack. Conversely, Izzy Gaze, the wicket-keeper batswoman, will participate in her first T20 World Cup.
Ben Sawyer, head coach of the White Ferns, expressed his satisfaction with the team and gave everyone credit for making it on it.

Notably, the T20 World Cup was moved from Bangladesh because of political upheaval in that nation, and it will now take place in the United Arab Emirates starting on October 3. Group A includes Australia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in addition to New Zealand.
The team captained by Sophie Devine will open the competition with two exhibition matches, on September 29 and October 1, respectively, against South Africa and England. On October 4, they will take on India in their first Group Match. New Zealand will go to Australia for a three-match Twenty20 International series ahead of the tournament to prepare for the epic event, which kicks off on September 19.
